Hike and Ski Leader
I volunteer my time to plan and lead hiking and skiing trips with a New York City-based adventure club. The goal of the group is to encourage people to enjoy and respect the outdoors. Activities include hiking, skiing and snowboarding, kayaking, mountaineering, rock and ice climbing and many other activities. This club utilizes Meetup.com as a way to organize the activities, by allowing organizers to post events and people to rsvp.
Meetup.com is the world's largest network of local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face. More than 2,000 groups get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities.
